The Scotsman Hotel is located on Edinburgh's historical North Bridge, one minute stroll from Waverly mainline train station. A short walk from the hotel are the shops of Princes Street, George Street, the attractions of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, The National Gallery and Scott Monument.

The hotel location is great for the Hogmanay street celebrations over New Year's Eve which are a mere 5 minute walk away. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is throughout Edinburgh, but many of the street performers are a few minutes walk away on the Royal Mile. The EICC is a 20 minute walk or short bus / taxi ride.

By Plane to The Scotsman in Edinburgh

Edinburgh Airport is approximately 8 miles away (follow directions for M8 and M9). A taxi to the hotel will cost £15-£20. There is a regular airport-city shuttle bus service costing £3 single, £5 return.  

By National Rail to The Scotsman in Edinburgh

Waverley Train station (Edinburgh's main railway station) is three minutes by foot. Alternatively there is a taxi rank at the station, and the taxi will take about 2 minutes.
